Minister Mildred Rand
Minister Mildred Rand accepted Christ at a very young age through the spiritual guidance of her grandmother, for whom she was also named after. She has been a faithful member of Temple of Truth Baptist Church under the anointed leadership of Rev. Barbara Henderson, Pastor Gary Watts and Associate Pastor Lisa Henderson. She currently serves diligently on the prayer team and as a teacher for Adult Bible Study.
In June 2010, Minister Merritt founded Daughters of Christ Ministry, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “support women from all walks of life through spiritual friendships, mentoring, networking, educating and encouraging one another to reach our full potential and fulfill our God-given purpose.” Feeling the need for a ministry that supports women in both their spiritual callings and everyday life, Minister Merritt can be quoted as saying “I do what I do because of my love for God and for His daughters. Every woman has the ability to impact those around them in a mighty way, but we often need help, support and encouragement while doing so. Everything that we have been through has a purpose - we just have to see what that purpose is.”
Minister Mildred has spoken and preached the Word of God at various other locations and events throughout the Kansas City community area. She accepted her higher calling was officially and legally ordained as a licensed Minister on June 12th, 2016.
